Helena Bajaj Larsen – Franco-Indian-Norwegian designer Helena Bajaj Larsen graduated from Parsons School of Design and launched her label at Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai. She is a cross disciplinary designer working with both fashion and jewelry, but also interior/home products as she believes all forms of design are intrinsically linked. She  specializes in textiles design and surface exploration throughout various mediums. The overarching concept in her work is the creation of a meeting point between art and design, making lifestyle products that are both functional yet appear as abstract paintings. To achieve this, she personally hand paints each and every fabric using pigment and acid dyes. The fabrics used are mainly handwoven fabrics sourced from Indian artisans such as raw silks, organzas and many others – in an effort to promote the the incredible craftsmanship the country has to offer.
