The original building inspired from 70’s Californian villas with Moorish accents, has been entirely redesigned by the owners.

Emmanuelle Sawko is a true Parisian, so when it comes to design, fashion or food, she knows what’s up. Over the past decade, this cosmopolite Frenchy has built a reputation as a global tastemaker in Paris, New York and Dubai. Curator, director and co-founder of Comptoir 102, a favorite of international travel guides and fashion magazines, the lifestyle concept store has quickly established itself as one of the best in the city.
Emma started her career in advertising, and spent 10 years working at the renowned DDB Agency in Paris. It was in 2005 and after having three children that Emma decided to make her move to New York. This move resulted in working as the US Contributor for Milk Magazine, the leading French Magazine on fashion and decoration for kids.
Emma’s move to the Middle East in 2010 provided her with an opportunity to further develop her creative talents, she felt there was a real need in the market for Western trends, young designers and a more innovative retail model as well as for healthy food concepts. With Comptoir 102, Emma wanted to offer an entirely new shopping experience. She is also at the origin of the food concept of Comptoir 102, which started a trend throughout the city for healthy and organic food. Emma currently lives between Paris and Dubai. She enjoys cooking healthy for her friends and family, she is a design, fashion and contemporary art lover, which she hopes it reflects in Comptoir 102.
