Golden Editions
Golden Editions was created by Sara Efia Reddin who grew up surrounded by her Ghanaian Mother’s passionate craft collection. The basketry, leather goods, sculptures in wood or bronze, and beautiful woven or printed cloths, these items decorated everyday and became part of her heritage. Sara Efia always dreamt of creating a brand that would highlight the amazing craftsmanship from her Mother’s country.
The aim of Golden is to work closely with makers to create contemporary pieces that pay tribute to timeless craft in Ghana, that light up your home and develop rural communities.

Shadow Hanging Lamp Herb
This natural pendant lamp is woven by hand using a traditional basket weaving technic from Bolgatanga, in the north of Ghana. The delicate open weave stripes spread light patterns across walls. Only the master weavers can achieve the details in the Shadow lamps.
Woven with the grass Veta Vera, which is naturally durable. This large pendant lamp in natural and black is magnificent above a dining table, in a bedroom, in a living room or hallway. This pendant light is perfect alone or accumulated with other lamps in the collection. Basket weaving from Bolgatanga is a a traditional African weaving technic. The grass Veta Vera grows locally. The reeds are twisted by hand and small batches are colored using vegetable or food dyes in cauldrons. The weaving is tight and smooth. The lamps are woven by an association of weavers, these weavers have honed their art to make our contemporary shapes. This lamp takes 5-6 days to weave. Golden Editions believes that artisanal is the new luxury.
