Warm and earthy. This medium size pendant lamp with black, earthy browns and natural stripes will fill your room with light motifs. This round circular lamp with its many open weave stripes (measuring 45cm x 25cm), will add character to your space.

Designed in the Golden studio by Sara Efia Reddin, this contemporary lamp elevates an artisanal tradition of basket weaving to create a beautiful decorative object.

This natural pendant lamp is woven by hand using a traditional basket weaving technic from Bolgatanga, in the north of Ghana. The delicate open weave stripes spread light patterns across walls. The lamp is assembled to order in our workshop, now based in Barcelona, with twisted black cables and brass fixtures giving it a retro feel.

Woven with the grass Veta Vera, which is naturally durable. This medium pendant lamp is very stylish in a bedroom, a kitchen, in a living room or hallway. This pendant light is perfect alone or in a set, accumulated with other lamps in the collection. Basket weaving from Bolgatanga is a a traditional African weaving technic. The grass Veta Vera grows locally in Ghana. The reeds are twisted by hand and small batches are colored using vegetable or food dyes in cauldrons. The weaving is tight and smooth. These lamps are woven by an association of weavers, these weavers have honed their art to make our contemporary shapes. This lamp takes 3-4 days to weave. Golden Editions believes that artisanal is the new luxury.

Please do not forget that this lamp is woven by hand and the slight differences in shape and color are completely normal. Please also remember that the material is natural and therefore we do not recommend them for use outside or on terraces or hanging in a hot humid room in front of a window. The colors are natural and may fade if hung in direct sunlight.
