The Rakhi Iolite Choker in Red String features a 925 silver plated adjustable chain with 22 carat gold accents, all handcrafted in India. The shortest pendant chain measures 35.5 cm while the longest measures 39 cm. Made with red thread and 2 mm faceted Iolite stones, this necklace comes in a special pouch made from leftover fabrics by Afghan refugee women in India. The word "Rakhi" means protection in Hindi and it is also a significant festival in India where siblings exchange bracelets as a sign of love and protection. This collection celebrates our bonds and the red thread represents the element of fire, a source of strength and security.
