This fabric is made from nylon woven in the Hokuriku region and dyed by artisans of Narumi Shibori. Unlike mass-production processes done by machine, every step—from dyeing to finishing—is carried out carefully by hand, resulting in a natural, delicate texture with a pleasant touch. This is an original ATON fabric.

About Narumi Shibori: Narumi Shibori is a traditional Japanese craft that originated in the Edo period, produced mainly in the Narumi area of Midori Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. It is characterized by a wide variety of patterns created through diverse tying techniques and their combinations. Once prized as souvenirs by travelers along the Tōkaidō road, it became one of the region’s most renowned specialties, frequently depicted in the ukiyo-e prints of Hokusai Katsushika and Hiroshige Utagawa.

Details & Care

Hand wash in water not exceeding 40°C, avoid bleach, do not tumble dry, line dry in the shade, iron at a temperature not exceeding 150°C, and use only low‑intensity dry or wet cleaning.
